Cheese Festival Fun

Apr 16, 2018  ·  3 min read

There is no denying that Aussies love cheese. With an attempt to satisfy our insatiable hunger for this delectable delight, we have many a cheese-serving establishment and some fantastic fromageries, not to mention days of annual festival goodness around the country honouring the creamy wonder.

Melbourne, get excited because Christmas is about to come early!

MOULD: A Cheese Festival is gracing Melbourne with its delicious presence for the second year. It is described as “a celebration of that love, bringing together the best artisan producers from across the country for a day of cheese, wine, masterclasses and more.” That sounds like a pretty great day out, if you ask me!

Hard or soft, blue or white, fresh or aged – let’s aim to find our favourite or perhaps we can all find a cheese to match out personality …?!

With a bevvy of sophisticated intriguing brands on show, be ready to make the most of indulging in produce from Yarra Valley Dairy, Shaw River Buffalo Cheese, That’s Amore, Grandvewe, Meredith Dairy and more. There will be over 20 of Australia’s best cheesemakers showing their delicious goods, so you will surely leave happy, full and inspired by the hard work, commitment and focus of these companies.

To complete a full and wonderful food experience, there are extensive food options on odder from the likes of Maker & Monger, Harper & Blohm and Burn City Smokers. There are also many a beverage on offer to enjoy.

There will be three MOULD sessions to choose from in Melbourne – a Friday night session and two Saturday sessions. Book tickets here. Tickets include a Plumm wine glass, a glass of wine, and unlimited tastings of the best Australian cheeses.

When: 4th and 5th of May

Where: North Melbourne Meat Market, 5 Blackwood Street

Exciting note: MOULD will be heading to Sydney for the first time this year on Saturday the first of September for two sessions. Book tickets here.
