Green is in – for good.
Bust out every shade of the earth: green is in – for good.
A love of fresh, local produce… A knack for heritage restoration… A green thumb for sky gardens… A flair for beekeeping…QT are working alongside those bees to be as sustainable as possible, all the way from Q to T.
Because our fabulous guests, iconic neighbourhoods and Queen Earth Herself simply must keep shining bright.
After all, happy hour won’t be so happy if things go sideways, and those rooftop views won’t be so dazzling either.
Now’s not the time to be fashionably late. This sustainability soirée has kicked off, and quite frankly, green suits you.

We’re working with some of our creme de la creme suppliers to find eco-lovely products and lower our emissions.

We’re starting to weave our sparkly green thread through everything we do – from design to daily ops.

The world’s heating up, and not in a good way. We’re committed to a greener kinda glamour; of course you’re invited.
Luxury & Sustainability Look Good Together

We’re starting to move away from single-use plastic. QT Auckland sports refillable water stations on every floor, while our Melbourne and Perth public spaces have filtered water stations for guest use. In Queenstown, we’ve swapped OTT packaging for generous dispensers at the buffet. And we’ve installed refillable, large format bathroom amenities across all of our properties.

QT Gold Coast supports local gems like Hope Water and Harvest Clay Ceramics. And QT Melbourne’s Orca machine magically turns leftovers into drinkable water (just don’t ask us how), saving an average 377 tonnes from landfill each year. Back on the Gold Coast, we honour the Yugambeh people, whose land we share; a practice we’re adopting across all of our locations. In Singapore, we sport a Green Mark Platinum green building rating (the highest, naturally). In Perth, we recycle our butts off, so far stopping 139,000 containers from going to landfill and raising $6K for good.

QT Newcastle lets guests skip housekeeping in return for F&B credits (cheers to that). QT Wellington keeps your coffee guilt-free with compostable cups. In Canberra, we get creative with food scraps, transforming them into delish stocks and sauces. In Bondi, guests don the lycra; we provide the bikes. Who knew reducing our impact could be this glamorous?

EVT ecosystem
For us, sustainability is not just about the goals you set but the choices you make along the way. Making better choices as a business – and making it easy for our people, customers and partners to make better choices too.
It’s a mindset that drives us on our sustainability journey. It’s at the heart of all the progress we’ve made so far – and it’ll power us to do even more now and in the future.
We’re choosing better – both in the big goals and ambitions we set ourselves, but also in the everyday actions and decisions that collectively drive change. Across every part of our business – Hotels, Cinema, Thredbo and HQ – we’re choosing to do business in a way that reduces our environmental impact and responds to a changing climate.
