With all the snow falling over the city at the moment, it’s hard to escape that Christmas feeling. A time to rug up, enjoy a glass or two of mulled wine and spend moments with those loved ones as the city is snowed in.
Wait. No. Nope. I got that wrong. That’s NYC.
Melbourne will most likely continue the joy of the heat wave that is hanging over the eastern states. There really is nothing like a 34 degree Christmas Day. The wine goes down that much easier, the conversation with distant family members heats up and the magical carols create a unique experience.
Delicious isn’t it. Heat waves and Christmas go together like chalk and a half eaten wheel of Brie. Though it doesn’t have to be that bad.
We here at QT Melbourne are so excited for our first Christmas in the city. We actually couldn’t be happier for the festive season. Mainly due to air con, but also because we just love the holidays.
If you’re looking for somewhere to base yourself in the city this season, why not come and paly with us.
Shopping
We are in the middle of the city, so when it comes to chasing those last minute presents, we know where to go. Emporium and Melbourne Central are just a stroll away. Then again we also have a number of quirky gifts in our Qtique – you know, in case you leave it really late.
We can also point you in the direction of some fine gift wrapping classes as well.Carols
‘Twas the night before Christmas and Vision Australia continued the 78-year-old tradition by bringing the best carols and entertainment to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Like last year, this is the place to enjoy those sounds of Christmas before the guy in the red suit drops by. All funds raised go Vision Australia, last year they managed to raise 1.3m, so feel free to dig deep.Christmas Lunch
Paul Easson, Executive Chef at Pascale Bar & Grill, along with QT’s creative food director Rob Marchetti are about to excite your taste buds to a new level this Christmas lunch. Think turkey and spit roasted pork, with cranberry sauce or a black truffle gravy. Fruit de mar platters and Perrier Jouet and of course, eggnog and Christmas puddings. The three-course lunch comes with a recommendation to book. As it will most likely sell out due to the menu being delicious.
If you are wanting to check in over the festive season, check out all our packages HERE. From Street art to food art, we have something that will suit you.
