Summer is here. That means hot sand, boardies and bikinis. It also means it’s time to get in shape, mentally and physically. The last few months of the year are stressful time for everyone, so we’ve put together a little list of our top three yoga recommendations on the Gold Coast.

ASMY (Australian School of Meditation and Yoga)

For those looking to get in touch with nature, ASMY offers a weekly “Yoga Asanas by the Sea” class. Every Saturday between 8:00 am – 9:00 am, ASMY holds an outdoor yoga class in Justin’s Park, by the beautiful Burleigh Heads Beach. You will require your own yoga mat or a large towel- though it’s worth it at only $2 to join in. Wake up to the ocean, without breaking the bank. What more could you want?

BSKT (Located at Nobby’s Beach)

Currently one of the hippest parts of the Gold Coast, BSKT café is a GC favourite. Most mornings you’ll find BSKT packed with locals who’ve turned out bright and early for a gourmet, health-conscious breakfast. What many people don’t know however is that BSKT also offers yoga classes multiple times a week. Enjoy the ocean breeze while you stretch the stress away. Mats, blocks and straps are provided; and a well-earned, post-yoga bite to eat is easy to justify once you see the selection on offer.

Essence of Living

If you want a yoga class that goes above and beyond the norm, Essence of Living is for you. With multiple locations, Essence of Living has everything you could desire. Community classes, free online classes, private classes, a professional training academy… the list goes on and on. Essence of Living is the complete package, with too much to mention.
