WIN | spaQ celebrates the best isolation beauty finds & blunders

In celebration of spaQ reopening, we are on the search for Australia’s best beauty finds and faux pas. The most innovative – or incriminating – responses will be rewarded spaQ unlocked for a day of unlimited treatments for you and four friends complete with champagne (of course), skin boosting snacks and a take home beauty bag with the unlocked experience valued at over $4000!

It’s a skincare retreat extravaganza – because we all deserve a little TLC. Some of the most “creative” beauty treatments we’ve come across are below. Think you’ve got beauty hack to challenge these beauties?

“Was dying for a hot stone massage. Ending up stealing the pebbles from the neighbours yard, heating them up and adding olive oil to them, I then demanded my partner to give me a massage whilst I used a calming massage playlist from Spotify! Worked a treat! Dying to be back in spaq for the real thing though.” – Cathy H.

“My covid-19 isolation faux pas is so embarrassing but I must say worked lol !!! While all the salons have been closed and I haven’t been able to go for my regular chemical peels I was desperate and went to the extreme measures of using the first drop of my morning urine to dab on my breaking out acne … 7 days of this and there isn’t a single raised acne ! Disgusting but desperate time calls for desperate measures lol!” – Emily M.

“Beauty faux-pas – using a Sharpie marker as a quick fix for those pesky greys.” – Elizabeth K.

“The closest I got to anything spa-like at home was when I opened up the dishwasher and the steam hit my face.” – Lettie L.

The two winners’ spaQ unlocked experiences will be held in the Sydney or Gold Coast location with the respective property’s full treatment menu available on demand along with a team of dedicated therapists.

The Gold Coast’s spaQ unlocked experience includes Goldie Signatures like Pure Gold of warm oil back massage, concept facial, lash tint, manicure and pedicure, with the Get Glammed makeover to glide from spaQ straight to Stingray Lounge bar.
