We love the Gold Coast Film Festival!

Hey QTies of GC, the stars are coming to town.

We eagerly await for the red carpet to be rolled out for one of our favourite annual events, the Gold Coast Film Festival. It returns this month with an incredible line up of screenings and special events. Oh and did we mention celebs to spot?

Now in its 20^th year, the Gold Coast Film Festival presents its hottest line-up yet attracting talent such as Erik Thomson, Cameron Daddo, Tasma Walton, Tyler Atkins, Isabel Lucas and Luke Hemsworth – yes, we said Hemsworth!

Friend of QT, Lincoln Lewis is the leading man for 2022 and says, “It is a true honour to be an ambassador for this year’s festival. I have filmed movies and TV series here on the Gold Coast throughout my career and it is wonderful to celebrate the immensely talented actors and filmmakers we have right on our door step.”

We’re created a mental watchlist for this festival’s top picks, and this year includes 20 year celebration screenings of Scooby Doo at Event Cinemas Coomera and the iconic surfing film Blue Crush at the outdoor cinema in Coolangatta.

Even the Closing Night Gala is generating a real buzz. It will see cast and crew assemble on the red carpet for the debut of Tyler Atkins’; Bosch & Rockit. Starring Luke Hemsworth, Isabel Lucas, Leeanna Walsman and upcoming pro-surfer, Rasmus King.

The festival runs from April 20 through to May 1.
