Going Live at QT Gold Coast

The Couch Outloud live talk show provides a glimpse into the lives of those that make the Gold Coast a remarkable city. It highlights the regions artists, leaders and change makers who are the generators of Gold Coast culture.

Following three hit shows in 2017, The Couch Outloud is back and this time it’s live at QT Gold Coast!

According to The Couch Outloud founders, Laurinda Janlewicz and Michelle Dumbrell, the event “is not just a live talk show, it’s a movement”!

“If you say the words ‘Gold Coast’ to people from both far and near, all too often there is reference to the beach culture, high rise buildings and theme parks. However, there is another side to the Gold Coast … one that brings a more creative light into focus. The Couch Outloud is a platform and talk show that showcases the growing number of artists, dancers, musicians, performers and producers that live and create on the Gold Coast” says Dumbrell.

“Together with our host Monique Kinerson, The Couch Outloud guests share with the audience their story and vision on achieving a vibrant and sustainable lifestyle on the Gold Coast. This platform not only provides the community with a voice and insight into topics that affect them, but will lead the way for future cultural evolvement” adds Janlewicz.

This show is about exploring the question: ‘Who’s responsible for developing our city’s voice and vibrancy?’

Special guests include: Jordyn de Boer, co-founder of Boomerang Bags; Oscar Davis, Philosopher; David Crisafulli, community activator, journalist and politician; Elliena Escott, 14yr old performer; and Host, Monique Kinerson.

There will also be performances by Steffi Burns and The Circus Corridor.
