Surfers Paradise LIVE

Did you see them setting up that massive stage on the Surfers Paradise beach area? No Gold Coast, don’t freak out, it’s not the dreaded schoolies party we all love, it’s the Surfers Paradise LIVE 2018 music festival!

Our iconic beachfront has been transformed into a festival hub like no other.

The Gold Coast Music Awards kicked off the action on Thursday night, bringing in some amazing talent to showcase what they’ve got for a chance to take home one of eight awards. QT Gold Coast was lucky enough to sponsor the ‘Best Music Video’ award this year and my, my, my, it’s been a hard run for the judges. Finalists for this award included Amy Shark, Baltimore Gun Club, Black Rabbit George, Hammers, Hollow Coves, Lane Harry x Ike Campbell, Reichelt, Rhea Robert-son and Tijuana Cartel. And the winner was … Lane Harry x Ike Campbell for The Dash.

After some hot acts hitting Surfers Paradise on Friday at many local venues including restaurants, nightclubs and, of course, the main stage on the beach, be sure they will back it up on Saturday. Jump on the wagon at the main stage for Daryl Braithwaite from 6.15pm tonight, where I’m sure he will drop ‘Horses’ just for old times sake!

The night will party away with Jimmy Barnes at 7.45-9pm and then the party continues into the underworld of the glitter strip with many massive DJ’s hitting the clubs to party through till 5am.

Sunday shows us some great sessions to round out the perfect weekend, kicking off from 1pm at House of Brews and another full line up all over Surfers Paradise. More information on the events of the weekend can be found here.
