Supanova Pop Culture Expo Comes to the Gold Coast

Pop-culture nerd explosion and excuse to dress up like no-ones business, Supanova, is back on the Gold Coast for three days at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre starting Friday, April 17 and wrapping up on Sunday, April 19.

Since first bursting on the scene back in 2000, the Supanova Pop Culture Expo has become a cult phenomenon that transcends your typical sci-fi fantasy gathering.

The guest-list for this year’s Supanova is something other than stellar – Back To the Future’s Christopher Lloyd; Tyler Hoechlin from Teen Wolf; the legends from Star Trek George Takei and Nichelle Nichols and the unforgettable John Jarratt aka Mick from Wolf Creek.

Supanova is instead a curated collection from and surrounded by the wonderful worlds of comic books, animation/cartoons, science-fiction, pulp TV/movies, toys, console gaming, trading cards, fantasy, entertainment technology, books, internet sites and fan-clubs.

The end result is amazing atmosphere tailor-made for expressing your inner geek, wizard, elf, Doctor or Sailor…and by express we obviously mean getting into some serious cosplay!

Supanova will be at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre for three days starting April 17 until April 19.
