Suey McEnnally’s Bush Chandelier at Gallery One

May 21, 2015  ·  2 min read

By Benjamen Judd

“Bush Chandelier”, the latest collection of work from award-winning Sydney-based artist Suey McEnnally, will be showing to sell at Gallery One in Southport from May 22 until June 3.

Known for her grand landscapes in oil pastels, the work of Suey McEnnally immediately brings to mind that of French master, Claude Monet, and the soft blurriness of woodblock prints.

Her loose, yet deliberate, brushstrokes brim with energy as she covers the picture plane with sweeping gesture – building up layers and delineating space as she creates enormous energy across the surface.

In “Bush Chandelier”, McEnnally captures the essence of a wild garden, with each canvas melding into the next in a seemingly endless flood of colour.

This can be your chance to get your hands on an original work by one of Australia’s most talented artists. Already a favourite amongst collectors, Suey McEnnally’s work is as much an investment as it is a masterpiece.

Gallery One is one of Queensland’s leading contemporary fine art galleries. Based on the dynamic and culturally rich Gold Coast, Gallery One represents collectable and established multi award-winning Australian Artists, including Archibald, Wynne and Sulman winners and finalists.

“Bush Chandelier” by Suey McEnnally will show at Gallery One from May 22 until June 2.
