Cool Rocks On is about to begin and what would it be without the iconic Retro Beachside Party taking place on May 31.

Taking place at the La Costa Motel and presented by the Gold Coast Design Collective Market, the Retro Beachside Party is what the lovechild of Elvis and Gidget would be like if they moved to Australia and raised a family of guitar playing surfers with a penchant for organic food. So pretty awesome, actually.

Kicking off at 9, there will be live music, food stalls and a market where you can get your hands on some sweet kitsch nostalgia. With over 60 stalls, you’ll definitely find that perfect retro outfit or gift. And just in case you don’t have anything 50s, mini makeovers (and photoshoots for future evidence) will be taking place out the front of the iconic La Costa Motel to get you retro ready.

Kick back in some retro couches, slap on some sunscreen and imagine yourself a swinging sweetheart as you sip on cocktails to the sounds of old-school rock and roll.
