RAW COMEDY FESTIVAL HEATS (UP)

We respect the courage it takes to be a stand-up comedian. Especially in a country like Australia where everyone is a smart-arse who uses sarcasm like it’s a second language. So to those taking part in this years Raw Comedy Festival at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast we say – good bloody luck.

Hitting  the stage this coming Wednesday, February 19 through to March 9, the annual Raw Comedy Festival is a mix of cringe and genuine side-splitting humour. Comedy’s next big things will conquer their fears, battle foes with their funniest five minutes, and leave the competition in the dust on the way to the top of their comedy Everest.
RAW Comedy, a Melbourne International Comedy Festival initiative, has been launching the careers of countless comedians since 1996. Chris Lilley, Josh Thomas, Hannah Gadsby, Peter Helliar, Claire Hooper, Ronny Chieng, Tim Minchin have all conquered the mountain.
