Would the Gold Coast be the Gold Coast without its surfers? Hopefully, we’ll never find out. Which means we should all turn out to support the annual surf-excellence that is the 2015 Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro in Coolangatta’s Snapper Rocks from February 27 until March 11.

A sport that dwells in the DNA of many Australians, in particular us Gold Coast locals, surfing is often hailed as one of the best activities to keep you fit. It also just happens to be a lot of fun.

Despite the long list of amazing locations that host events by the World Surfing League, the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro is particularly dear to the hearts of many Australian surfers because it was here in Australia that the Quiksilver legend began.

Bringing in some of the biggest and best names in the surfing from around the world, the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro will turn Coolangatta into a international village with reams of tourists and competitors alike streaming in to take part in the events.

A brilliant wind down to another perfect summer, this is an event not to be missed.
