Things are heating up on the Gold Coast! By which we mean it’s literally heating up because of seasonal changes. Not like, sexy heating up… Sorry to get your hopes up.

With warm nights, and clear skies on their way, the good people at Gold Coast City Council are putting on the family-friendly, Movies Under the Stars, which will run at various Gold Coast locations all the way through until March 2016.

Roofs are for suckers – bring along a picnic rug and/or a chair and perch yourselves under the stars for the best seat in the house. Most of the events will have food and drinks available for purchase, but if you’re the self-sufficient type pack a picnic to pig out on (here are some healthy ideas to get you started).

With great titles like How to Train Your Dragon 2, Big Hero 6, Minions and much more, it’s an no-brainer, must-do school holiday activity that the rug rats are going to absolutely love.
