If you enjoy a heady mix of the titillating, the acrobatic and some dance thrown in for good measure, then you should think about heading down to the Arts Centre Gold Coast on Saturday, July 19 to witness the glory that is Miss Burlesque Gold Coast 2014.

In the tradition of the 1930s extravaganza, burlesque has made a huge comeback in the performing arts. A combination of dance, theatre and comedy, burlesque is a fun and cheeky appreciation of the female form.

This round will see ten local finalists battle it out to take the regional crown. The winner, along with 9 other state finalists, will head to Sydney for the Grand Final, where the winner will be crowned Miss Burlesque Australia. Which is exactly what last years Gold Coast winner, The Strawberry Siren, went on to do so let’s hope that crown stays in the GC family! The competition is in it’s 5th year of operation and has gotten bigger and brighter with each year.
