Our favourite gallery, 19 Karen Contemporary Art Space, has opened the doors to their latest exhibition, Match Mismatch, which features the talents of Italian artist, Agostino Iacurci.
Born in Foggia in 1986, Agostino lives and works between Rome and Nuremberg. Since graduating in Visual Arts from the Fine Art Academy in Rome, Iacurci has specialised in creating big scale paintings in urban spaces, installations and video-documentaries represent the frame of his work, which point out two crucial tangles in the interaction with the spectator and the investigation on the artist’s role within society. He has collaborated with sportswear label Adidas, Urban Outfitters and Penguin Books.
His latest exhibition, Match-mismatch, is a consideration around the crucial role given to coincidences and correspondences in the interpretation and codification of reality. The title also refers to the way the creative process works, juxtaposing thought, shapes, colours and intuitions in a chaotic process to generate new images, meaning and worlds.
All works are for sale and can be purchased either direct at the gallery or online using Paypal.
Match-Mismatch by Agostino Iacurci is now showing at 19 Karen Contemporary Art Space until December 20.
