Karla Spetic is hot and bold.

It’s Gold Coast Fashion Week, and the darlings of the local sewing scene are flinging gorgeous young things down the catwalk and debuting their latest collections. We’ve been following Karla Spectic for a little while, and we were anxious (yes we were that emotional about it) to see if her newest collection would live up to the bold delights of her Spring/Summer must-have-in-your-wardrobe pieces.

We are tickled pink (and bold blue, daring lime, and a resounding splash of black) to see that this coastal couture-ist-in- the-making did not let us down. We saw a delightful mix of her signature dresses and a new swimwear collection that rides the high waisted trend. We can see the likes of Dita Von Teese and Lanie Lane giddying up in these striking bikinis that hug the hips in all the right places and exude a womanly vibe that is sadly missing in a lot of swim wear these days.

We are particularly enamoured of the dress you see in our post. Titled ‘Glass’ and looking like a cool drink of water, this is set to be a staple heading into Autumn.
