If you haven’t made the time to see it already, The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award is now showing at the Arts Centre Gold Coast until May 10.
One of the most important annual surveys in contemporary Australian photography, The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award gives both emerging and established photographers the chance to showcase their work, covering a multitude of themes and approaches to photography.
Since it launched in 2002, The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award has become a signature art prize on the art scene of Australia, attracting winners from previous years.
The highly coveted award, with a total $30 000 in prizes and acquisitions (first prize is $20, 000), is a highlight of Gold Coast City Gallery’s exhibition program.
The winner for this year’s Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award has gone to Sydney-based artist Owen Leong for his work Mudra. Leong receives $20,000 in prize money and his work has been acquired for the City Collection.
The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award is now showing at the Arts Centre Gold Coast until May 10.
