Not all the Gold Coast Instagram accounts are influencers. “Influencer”. Now, there’s a word that gets thrown around willy-nilly these days. To say that “Every man and his dog” is an influencer would be an understatement, considering the huge amount of pets, let alone their masters, that are so-called social media stars.

Alas, amongst the rough and the average Joes, there are diamond Instagram accounts. Health, location, fitness, beauty, style Instagram accounts that are informative, helpful and downright enthralling when gazed upon.

These are the Gold Coast Instagram accounts that we’re obsessed with.

The Mad Hueys

The fishing and surfing larrikins from Burleigh Heads are great value. Living the life many Aussie lads dream of, The Mad Hueys are either reeling in fish in their beloved boat, getting barrelled or sinking tinnies. Whichever the case, they’re running amok and having a great time doing so. Follow this account for a bit of fun.

Fiona Edwards Bassingthwaighte

This mother of three (and daughter of Janine Edwards) has an eye for fashion. With fresh outfits every week and never one to skimp on where the spices are from, Fiona’s Instagram is great source of wardrobe inspiration. Be warned – she ALWAYS looks good, so draw inspiration … not envy.

Sean Scott

We know he’s a professional ocean landscape photographer, but man, the kid takes a mean snap! He has an uncanny ability to capture a moment of nature in its most terrifying, when both totally untamed and unbelievably beautiful. With a gallery on James Street in Burleigh Heads, Sean is somewhat of a local treasure.

An account detailing the “best eats and drinks on the Gold Coast“. If this was ranked, it’d probably be number one. With a mouth-watering shot, short description and location, this is an encyclopedia of Goldy indulgence.

Ellie Bullen

An author and dietician, Ellie is a big advocate of eating lots of plants. This beautifully curated account will have you swooning over destinations, the very photogenic Bullen, and of course the incredible vego foodie shots and recipes.
