Food Trucks on the Goldy

Step aside five star dining and trendy restaurants, the food truck scene is here and is it making an impact on the Goldy. Every weekend, whether it is at the local markets or sneaky little pop up spot, the food trucks are proving to be a tough act to beat when it comes to grabbing some casual grub with the mates.

Siguenos

With a name which translates to “follow us”, Siguenos has definitely achieved just that, with a large following of people wanting to get their hands on some finger licking tacos! This LA-inspired food truck has nailed their Mexican cuisine with specialty filled tacos and incredible customer service. The Wiener Haus

The crew from the Wiener Haus have set out on a mission to bring you authentic German wieners topped with a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour. These guys have been roaming the streets since 2013 and can be found at all the popular hot spots like the village markets on a Sunday to every Gold Coast Suns home games at Metricon Stadium. Pick your desired wiener (grilled kransky, spicy Kranksy, cheese kransky and even a vegan kransky) and your choice of toppings, but no sausage jokes please… these guys take their wieners very seriously.

Smoothjuice

Created by husband and wife duo, Kev and Jan have created one of the first mobile juice bars, and boy do we love it! With recipes from their nutritionist daughter, Smoothjuice has filled their menu with amazing juice combinations and promise to only bring to you 100% whole fruits and vegetables in all of their juices and smoothies. If you don’t feel like a liquid treat, never fear, these guys whip up one of the best acai bowls around town!
