The Gold Coast (like everywhere it seems) has an ever-growing market scene, with everything from the trendy Village Markets down at the Burleigh Heads Primary School on a Sunday to the Isle of Capri Markets on a Saturday. However, if you’re not looking for the latest fashion craze or an endless supply of candles, and you are in fact looking for fresh and artisan produce, then you’re in luck, because the Goldy is choca-block with farmers’ markets too.
The Gold Coast is a city supported strongly by the farming culture found in its hinterland regions. The abundance of farmers’ markets scattered all over the Gold Coast means that it is easy to get in and experience some of the best fresh produce that this sunny state has to offer.
We’ve gone out and sourced three of the best farmers markets around the Goldy.
Bundall Farmers’ Markets
The Bundall Farmers’ Markets have an outstanding reputation for quality, freshness and flavour! The markets usually feature over 80 stallholders, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. The Bundall markets sell organic and conventional fresh fruit and vegetables, hand-made jams, pickles and jellies, meat, fish, poultry; locally grown coffee and herbal teas, gluten-free pastries and pies, olives and cheese, organic drinks, organic bread, cakes, hand-made skin creams and much more. Get in.
Where: Art Centre Gold Coast, 135 Bundall Road, Surfers Paradise
When: Every Sunday/6am-11:30am
