spaQThere are just two more weeks to go before the Gold Coast’s highly anticipated Le Dîner en Blanc on Saturday, September 9.
For those Dîner en Blanc rookies out there, the preparations may feel a little overwhelming… But never fear, we’re here to ensure you arrive in stress-free style!
Here’s what you need to picnic like a pro for Le Dîner en Blanc:
- A white folding table and two chairs.
- A white tablecloth and two white cloth napkins.
- White plates and bowls as needed (non plastic – that’s the rule).
- Cutlery and glasses (go for acrylic, not glass).
- Ice bucket to keep your vino chilled (ice is provided). Try an Ice Bag for a compact alternative to a traditional ice bucket.
- A complete meal for two – thanks to the good people at @dinerenblancgoldcoast and @progressivecatering dining is made easy with a range of perfect picnic hampers ready to go.
- Get your wine order in! QLD Liquor Licencing means strictly no BYO booze – so you must pre-order your wine online before August 28 as there will be no wine sales on the night.
- Complimentary water is provided by Fiji Water – so that’s one less thing to pack.
- A garbage bag to make nice of your mess at the end of the night.
- A lighter (for the sparkler lighting).
- ID and print-outs of your confirmation to ensure you’re not an imposter.
- A comfy change of shoes for later in the evening (there’s a bit of walking… and some dancing to do).
- A white/transparent umbrella or raincoat – just in case.
- And finally, a white market trolley or travel case to carry all your gear.
Bon appetite! Now that wasn’t so hard was it?
