Now that you have all the details, get the inside scoop on planning a pop up wedding! Mady tells us why she (I should say ‘they’ but you know it’s never about the guy) chose QT Gold Coast and this fresh take on modern weddings.
Steve and I are super busy people. We both work in the entertainment industry in Sydney and have very little time for ourselves. We’ve also got a little daughter who we want to spend every minute we can with. This meant that when we were planning our wedding there were a very select set of criteria.
Firstly we needed it to be a resort near the beach – no such thing as a holiday without the beach! Secondly there had to be a designer element to the resort – we wanted the place to form the natural backdrop for the wedding pics. Thirdly – because we wanted it to be a wedding and a holiday all rolled up into one, we needed to go to a place that our family would be cool with travelling to.
We were knee deep in brochures and pinterest boards when we saw the post go up on the this blog about the Valentine’s Day Pop Up Weddings. We love QT and the Gold Coast, so everything just fell into place! Steve proposed to me on Valentine’s Day last year so there’s a really special significance to this date so it just couldn’t be more perfect.
Sounds like a dream! You can follow Mady’s updates on planning her wedding here.
