Alright. This entry is a little indulgent but that’s ok. Whilst technically not designers themselves, the people at Cloth on William Street in Darlinghurst are some of the most creative bunch we have met in a long time. Some of us were lucky enough to head down to the launch of their new store the other weekend and it was super cute and super fun. And not only because they had spent the previous three weeks knitting, patching and sewing up everything in sight along the street including the park benches, the street poles, the power box and the nearby trees. But because they really love what they do.
The team at Cloth make and sell fabrics of all kinds to be used for whatever creative endeavour you can think of – upholstery, canvas or just some odd stuffed jumble of things that you want sitting in the corner of your favourite room. They also sell a selection of their own handmade products, using their favourite fabrics of hemp and linen. Custom made of collaboration, the team at Cloth value relationships and quality service so expect to be given not only a warm welcome when you visit but plan ahead – you might end up spending an entire day with the girls talking about all your creative wishes and not once realize the time.
Cloth is located at 113-115 William Street, Darlinghurst.
