Chinatown Street Markets

We have a new food obsession! Once a month, the taste of Asia takes over Gold Coast’s Chinatown and you get the chance to treat your tastebuds to some seriously good food.

Starting on May 2, the Chinatown Street Markets will turn streets of Southport will transform into a vibrant and colourful marketplace showcasing some of the most delicious food from across the Asian continent.

A living, breathing event the Chinatown Street Markets will change as the seasons do, incorporating live entertainment, regular showcases, cooking demonstrations and an array of cultural celebrations that will rotate monthly.

The world’s first modern Chinatown is focused on Young and Davenport Streets in Southport. It will be a place for the Gold Coast to celebrate its diversity through culture, design, people and food. Chinatown will be an exciting mix of restaurants, cultural festivals and boutiques; a place of cultural indulgence and celebration.

The Chinatown Street Markets will take place on the first Saturday of every month, starting on May 2.
