Blues on Broadbeach 2016

Baby we got the Blues! Every year around mid-May, the main streets of Broadbeach get cordoned off and transformed into a huge outdoor arena for the soul shaking, trumpet playing Blues on Broadbeach.

Broadbeach is already one of the biggest entertainment districts on the Gold Coast, so you can only imagine just how much buzz is around this annual event. This is a FREE event put on by the city council and is also family friendly, so a day out with the whole gang won’t break the bank.

This year’s lineup is massive with the likes of The Bamboo’s, Big Daddy Wilson, Diesel and many more. Our personal favourite and not-to-be-missed performance will be by ARIA nominated The Bamboos. Bring your dancing shoes because the eight piece powerhouse will get you in the mood for booting shaking, head bobbing and line-dance making with their energy filled hits including their 2012 hit “I Got Burned”.

Even if you aren’t a fan of Blue’s music, being held in Broadbeach and surrounded by some of the best restaurants in town means that there really is something for everyone; you can grab a cocktail at one of the lounge bar’s around the area and listen to live music… now who doesn’t love that!?
