BLEACH* IS THE WORD

No word of a lie not a single person here in the QT has not once or twice experimented with being a bottle blonde. And while the end results were questionable on most (some of us it actually suited) we learnt that bleach was better left to cleaning toilets and major festivals. Yes, the annual Bleach Festival is back on the Gold Coast this coming March!

From 7 to 23 March, Bleach Festival will cover the length of the Gold Coast like a wave gathering momentum as popular beachside villages becomes a hub of activity, with the heart and soul of the program taking place in the Southern Gold Coast alongside world famous surf breaks.

The Festival program is a feast of contemporary live music, pop up art installations and exhibitions, outdoor film programs, street parties, theatre, and ideas. The 2014 program will be jam packed over three mega weekends.

The first weekend of the Festival coincides with the final weekend of the international event and launch of the surfing world tour, the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro. The perfect celebration to the surfing season, Bleach* Festival will open with a new major commission by one of Australia’s most celebrated performing arts companies, live music, outdoor free cinema, the launch of the all new Bleach* Jnr program plus a whole lot more for all to enjoy.

The second huge weekend of the Festival takes over Currumbin with the third year of Bleach* Boulevard (Free Street Festival) even bigger than before, alongside music at the Soundlounge, talks, theatre and films.

The Festival will end with a bang with the return of the popular Eat Street in Tugun, Bleach* at Burleigh and The Bleach* BBQ with a whole new program, children’s activities, plus so much more.
