Unapologetic. That is how bartender Max describes his Bitter & Twisted masterpiece.
“Negronis can get a bad rap. Too intense or too bold. I wanted to dance between the different elements. Find a balance that still packs a punch, unapologetic.”
Max’s creation is just one of six Negronis on the menu this September at Gowings and Parlour Cucina for Bitter & Twisted, a month-long menu of new-age Negronis.
With QT x Four Pillars Ordered Chaos Gin, Mancino Sakura Vermouth, Campari and Aperol, Max’s take on the cult-classic cocktail needs to be experienced.
“The vermouth we use is pink, Italian, with a sakura flower infusion. Matched with our QT x Four Pillars Ordered Chaos Gin, it’s floral and works beautifully. It’s like Negroni’s lighter little cousin,” says Max.
