What You Should Do In Sydney This Weekend

Nov 9, 2017  ·  3 min read

The countdown is on to those blissful two days where all our responsibilities fly out the window and the main objective in life is to eat, drink and be merry. Now that spring is in full swing, it’s time to quit that Netflix binge and get out and about. Lucky for you, Sydney has got plenty of sweet happenings to choose from.

We look at what you should do in Sydney this weekend.

Living Colour Plant Sale

$1 plants! Yes, you read that right. For only a gold coin donation you can let your green thumb shine and take your pick from 5000 beautiful blooms. There will be everything from petunias to parsley and they will all be waiting for you at Sydney Park. Didn’t think this could get any better? Your $1 will go straight to the RSPCA. And if you’re not in the market for some greenery, simply stroll through and smell the roses – the perfect pre-lunch endeavour.

Good Fat

We all know avocados are Sydneysiders favourite food so it was only a matter of time before a pop-up appeared that is solely dedicated to this hallowed fruit. There’ll be a never-ending supply of smashed avo alongside an array of avo-inspired dishes, like smoothie bowls served in avocado skin, avo fries and a new take on the Cornetto – an ‘Avocornetto’ – *hmmm thinking face emoji*

Allen’s Lolly Pop Up

The Allen’s Lolly Pop Up is back for another year! Treat your sweet tooth or someone else’s to a lolly jar of sugary goodness – and even add a personalised label! This pop up will be at Sydney Westfield until Christmas. Red frogs anyone?

Wine Island

An island of wine? Sounds like our kind of paradise. With a selection of over 100 wines available for tasting and a bespoke food menu to match, Clark Island is the place to be this weekend. You can even hit up the Silent Disco where wine is matched to music!
