The Sydney Royal Easter Show is here! Running from March 26 until April 8 and taking over the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park in Homebush – it’s two weeks of rides, animals, candy floss and of course show bags.
The largest annual event of its kind, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is a must-see for locals and tourists alike. Famous for its rides, endless food stalls, the must-have showbags, and of course the animal shows – the Sydney Royal Easter Show is an event like no other.
Beneath all the bright lights, it also provides a valuable service to members of our rural and agricultural communities.
First held in 1823, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS), a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and rewards agricultural excellence.
Revenue generated through the Show allows the RAS to invest in agricultural programs, competitions, education, youth and rural NSW. Each year the RAS invests nearly $7 million in activities designed to promote agricultural excellence and keep our rural communities strong.
So not only are you having one of the best days of your life when you go, you’re also helping one of the most important industries in Australia while doing so. Which is kind of fantastic.
Limited parking is available, but public transport services are also available to and from the Show.
The Sydney Royal Easter Show is on at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from March 26 until April 8.
