Sydney Craft Beer Week

There’s nothing like a good beer. It doesn’t get much more true-blue than coming home from a big day at work and cracking open a nice cold stubbie. We love it – and for good reason.

Actually, you know what? I’m going to take this opportunity to amend my above statement – the only thing better than a beer is a craft beer.

Honestly, I doff my cap to the legend who thought it’d be a good idea to infuse his beer with a totally out-there, non-beer like flavours like mango or Coca-Cola! The drinking world owes you a great debt.

With that being said, it brings me great pleasure to announce the return of the week sure to bring a teary-eyed smile to the faces of Sydney-sider’s – the Sydney Craft Beer Week!

Cheering on anything and everything beer-related, over 75 Sydney venues have signed up to host the party, with over 100 events organised that’ll be sure to keep your tankards full and your beer palette happy.

If you’re wondering who’s hosting pre-drinks, worry no more! The party starts at the Giant Dwarf Theatre, next to Central Station before kicking on to the main event.

There’s honestly so much going on that I actually don’t know where to start! So much to do, so little time! Whilst on your booze-fueled crawl, you’ll get the chance to meet the maker of the beer you just can’t put down and tell them what a deadset legend they are.

You’ll even be able to match the best food with the ale of the hour – burger and beer will always have my vote.

Did I mention the activities? Oh yes! Who doesn’t love a good axe-chucking contest in between boat races with the lads? Camaraderie at its best!

If that’s not your style,though, it’s all good – there’s something different at every venue.

All week, the event will be running a hop-on, hop-off shuttle bus that will be hitting each venue and brewery, and all it’s going to cost you is a gold-coin!

Don’t let the cabbies rob you blind, jump on the beer-bus!

We Aussie’s love celebrating stuff, so I say why not celebrate the largest craft beer festival in the Southern Hemisphere and go nuts! It’ll make Oktoberfest look like an AA meeting.
