We’ve got the look. You’ve got the look. But more importantly, she’s got the look. And so does Swedish pop rock band Roxette who are bringing to life all our 90s tween dreams by performing On The Steps at the Sydney Opera House on February 25.
Despite their relative late introduction on the international music scene, Swedish natives Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle have spent more than three decades in the music game.
While albums Look Sharp and the self-titled Roxette had early success with their European audiences and even UK charts, it wasn’t until Joy Ride that they really hit they started to get true global recognition.
Now, to celebrate their 30th Anniversary Tour, Roxette have confirmed a once in a lifetime opportunity to see them perform live on the steps of the most iconic performance spaces in the world. It’s like a meeting of icons!
“We are beyond thrilled to head back to Australia, a stunning country with beautiful fans who have remained some of our most loyal supporters over the last few decades” says Per Gessle. “Marie, the band and I are ready and raring to go with a brand new show full of our hit songs and a few surprises”.
Roxette are truly one of pop music’s greats. Known for their distinct mix of pop lyrics, rock sounds and sharp look, the band paved the way for future artists. You’d be nuts to miss it.
Roxette will perform On The Steps of the Sydney Opera House on February 25.
