When it comes to discussing creative opinions, Logie award winner and musical comedy god, Tim Minchin once said ‘Opinions are like arseholes, in that everyone has one. There is great wisdom in this… but I would add that opinions differ significantly from arseholes, in that yours should be constantly and thoroughly examined’. What better way to constantly keep your mind questioning your own ideas and opinions than gathering around a whole host of creative minds, to discuss culture, technology and entrepreneurship over two, very mind blowing days. Remix Sydney 2016 is back and taking over Sydney Town Hall in early June to bring some smart minded humans to the stage to widen your eyes and help you step out of the box.
The Remix Summit is hosted not only in this fair city but also in Los Angeles, New York, London and Dubai, which sets itself as the largest cultural and creative industry summit in the Asia Pacific area and it’s easy to see why. The list of speakers on offer are top class and drop inspiration all over the place.
Taking to the stage this year will be the director of Creative Lab at Cirque du Soleil Media; Gillian Ferrabee, Interim CEO of the Office of Innovation and Science Australia; Ann Bray, Huffington Post Australia CEO; Chris Janz and holder of many titles from Chair of Carriageworks to Board Member of Virgin Australia, Sam Mostyn. This is but just a few from the list of over 100 speakers.
With media partners like Vice, The Guardian, Bloomberg and Mindshare, the summit is bursting with activities, check out the full schedule on their website.
With creative think tank sessions like these, comes the need for a stiff drink and a casual chat, and what better place to hold the opening day networking reception (party) than at our place, at Gilt Lounge. As the official hotel partner we are absolutely stoked to be hosting this event.
Tickets are limited for Remix 2016, it has almost sold out, head here to get your hands on the last remaining ones.
Remix 2016 is on at Sydney Town Hall from June 2 – 3.
