Do you have a camera? Do you have an eye for detail? Do you rack up impressive amounts of likes vs followers on the Gram? You may want to have a squizz at this – Monster Children is a wicked little quarterly lifestyle magazine stacked full of everything millennial’s froth on; surf, skate, music, art, design, sex, photography, travel. That’s not the super fun part; the super fun part is their photography competition.

Running ahead for the sixth year, this annual comp has racked up an impressive prize pool of thirty thousand dollars.

Thir. Tee. Thou. Sand.

Can you imagine? You clicked a button on a wicked scene and boom, you’ve racked up enough money to eat smashed avos at the most expensive of cafes (seriously who needs a house anymore) every damn day of the week. Also, if you win you get your photo featured in The Annual, along with the people who aren’t as incredible as you. But yours will be the biggest, AND all finalists get to see their work displayed at the Los Angeles and Sydney photo exhibitions.

Now for the nitty grits – there are six categories available to enter:

Travel sponsored by Corona Extra,

Music sponsored by Brixton,

Girls sponsored by Fallen Broken Street,

Action sponsored by Nike SB Vision

Lifestyle sponsored by Danner

Student sponsored by Billy Blue College of Design.

You are allowed to enter your work in as many categories as you so wish, as many times as you like. Each photo will go through a rigorous examination by the Monster Children boys Chris and Campbell. They take this job VERY seriously, with beers in hand. If you’re so lucky to win, each category winner will take home a prize of five thousand dollars, with which you can literally do whatever you want.

Be quick though, you don’t have long. Submissions close October 30th and the winners will be announced at the Monster Children Photo Annual Exhibition in Sydney and Los Angeles. So, off you trot. Whip out your camera, don some fantastically arty attire and just get weird on it. You can submit whatever you want to whichever category you fancy – go for the cash, or just give the MC boys something to laugh so hard at they choke on their beers.
