Monster Children is an online and print magazine that’s head over heels for photography, surfing, skating, music, arts and traveling. The hell team at MC dropped the winners of their annual photo competition for 2015 last week. While the entries (including my own) were of ridiculously high standard and gave you those Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World-type feels, the winning picks are especially deserving.
The judging was done by Chris Searl and Campbell Milligan, the founders of Monster Children. Based on no factual evidence whatsoever, we’re guessing they started by creating a short list from national and international entrants and due to such a high standard, they then resorted to writing names on cards and fishing with a blob of chewing gum on the hook to decide the winners. Given the quality of the winning pieces, the procedure seems to work rather well.
Spread over six categories, the winners each took home a sweet $5K purse to pursue their wildest shutterbug dreams.
There were stacks of epic entries, but you can have a squiz at the six winners below… and try not to dwell on the ‘why can’t I do that’ vibe’. Also check out the promo vid, which includes a few of last year’s top snaps.
