Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Edition 2018

May 15, 2018  ·  2 min read

As the foundation settles on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, an invitation is extended to the couture-loving public to take part in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Edition 2018.

The Friday and Saturday Fashion Week wrap up brings the razzle, dazzle and strutting blue steel to Carriageworks from May 18-19 and is ideal for those not lucky enough to have a sweet ticket hook-up for one of the midweek catwalk shows.

With a schedule packed with style sessions, style collectives, resort reviews and showcases, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Edition is the average punter’s chance to gawk at this season’s trends while sitting where the world’s most influential fashion media and retailers sat days prior. Your seat could still be warm from the likes of Ksenija Lukich, Isabel Lucas, Caroline Tran or Nikki Phillips … just sayin’. And with all the model-mingling, backstage buzz and runway shows, you might even bump into a Duskii-wearing Bree Warren – the first curvy bod to be included in MBFWA. Go, Bree, go!

Enjoy fashion experiences, unlock trade secrets, have a drink and a bite to eat with your fellow fashion crowd in the MBFWE Hub.

The weekend struts off with an opening showcase on Friday by kaftan queens Camilla, which kicks on into a launch party with Client Liason behind the decks. The Saturday is where things really get down to business with a selection of top editors, style icons, illustrators, designers and good-lookers taking part in runway collectives, seminars and masterclasses.

From all that’s on offer, we think the pick of the bunch is:

Saturday: Style Collective Runway

A stripped back showcase of luxurious fabrics and empowering statement pieces from Camilla and Marc, Christopher Esber, Macgraw, Michael Lo Sordo and some of Australia’s other most sought-after designers.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Edition 2018

When: 18-19 May

Where: Carriageworks at 245 Wilson St, Eveleigh

Tickets: Available on the MBFWE website
