We are approaching summer you guys. It’s that wonderful time of year when you step outside your office after closing down your computer and it still looks and feels like 2 o’clock in the arvo. The sun is out and the sky is blue. It’s basically nature’s way of telling you that you’re not ready to go home just yet. And why would you? The city is a playground, abuzz with great spots for after-work drinks, careless strolls around the harbour, and retro rooftop hideaways. There’s no better way to celebrate getting over the hump.

With that in mind, I’ve got a sweet way to spend a Thursday evening. Forget Netflix & Chill, forget take-out and a 8:37 bed-time. It’s time to start getting out there and discovering what the city truly has in store for the daring.
You know that awesome building sitting in the Rocks called the Museum of Contemporary Arts? Yeah, that’s right, the swanky, banner-bearing one that you’ve been meaning to visit for ages. Well, now you have extra reason to make it happen. The program Lights On Later is their official late-night program.
Running till late each Thursday (9pm to be exact, you still need to get up the next day), the evening antics at the MCA ought to keep you keen for more.
From Primavera 2016, to the Louise Hearman’s exhibition and the MCA Collection, you’ll have an adventure waiting for you.
Feeling peckish after all that? Thought so. Unwind and chill out with a casual beer and a bite to eat at the Sculpture Terrace whilst enjoying a good bit of live music. In fact, go ahead and treat yourself to another drink. You’ve earned it!
