Ever wondered what pop music would have sounded like according to Mozart? Well, you can soon find out when the King of Indie, Josh Pyke, joins forces with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for two nights this April 29 and April 30.
As part of a new initiative by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to support new Australian music, Josh Pyke will be performing an array of hits from all four of his previous albums at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.
Accompanying Josh onstage for his debut 2015 performance will be the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Christopher Dragon. This will bring a unique experience to his live show never before witnessed by Pyke fans.
Pyke is also in the process of working on a new album to be released later this year – fingers crossed the night may see a sampling of his new work performed by his classical buddies!
“Described as a modern-day storyteller, Josh Pyke’s unique and intelligent lyrics weave warm melodies that place him in a league of his own. Don’t miss your chance to hear this ARIA award winning artist under the sails of the Opera house.”
Josh Pyke, joined by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, will perform at the Sydney Opera House for two nights on April 29 and April 30.
