One of the most iconic figures in design and branding, Hartmut Esslinger, is coming to Sydney where he will be talking exclusively at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) as part of their current exhibition, Interface, on Monday May 25.
The man who some say is responsible for turning Apple into the global brand it is today (and the same for Sony), Hartmut Esslinger has been at the forefront of the design industry for more than 30 years. The impact of Esslinger’s work and philosophies (it was Esslinger who is credited with the phrase “form follows emotion) will be felt for decades to come.
During his much anticipated and exclusive appearance at MAAS, Esslinger will discuss the important role that education and museums play in fostering the future of compelling design approaches aimed at affecting social change.
To put yourself in the right frame of mind ahead of Esslinger’s talk, take the opportunity to visit MAAS’s  Interface exhibition to see some of Esslinger’s own formative work which brought human-driven, high-touch design to the world of complex hardware and software technology.
Hartmut Esslinger will appear at the Museum of Applied Arts and Science (MAAS) at 6.30pm, Monday May 25.
