Courtney Barnett Announces Second Show at the Metro Theatre

Good news for lovers of indie folk vocalist and all-round good person Courtney Barnett – the Melbourne-based singer has announced a second show at the Metro Theatre on Thursday May 7.

In the short time that Barnett has been at the forefront of mainstream attention, she has already packed in a wallop of successes: Pitchfork’s Best New Track for 2013 for Avant Gardener; APRA Song of The Year for History Eraser; and Picles From the Jar hit 51 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 for 2014.

More recently, Barnett has also been making a name for herself on the festival route, performing at some of today’s biggest festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, The Great Escape, Primavera, Field Day and Glastonbury.

Courtney’s upcoming Australian tour follows from her recent performances at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, a string of dates throughout the UK this March as well as a showcase performance at South By Southwest. Supporting Courtney Barnett on all national dates will be Jess Cornelius aka Teeth & Tongue.

Tickets for this second show will no doubt sell out faster than sausage rolls at a football match so make sure you get in quick.
