With the sun showing off its new spring body and natural glow, it’s time to get your fashion game on point. Collette Dinnigan’s exclusive exhibition at the MAAS is the perfect spot to do just that.
Collette Dinnigan: Unlaced is the first exhibition to explore the work of this internationally acclaimed Australian fashion designer. Featuring over 70 banging outfits and accessories the exhibition ranges over the designer’s 25-year career. Realised by Anna Tregloan, an award-winning stage designer and artist, the scenes bring into focus Dinnigan’s unique creative perspective; and highlight the romantic, feminine designs that have seen her work sought after by a star-studded clientele including Beyoncé, Dita Von Teese, Taylor Swift and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
“Dinnigan’s sense of adventure, determination and passion have led her to become Australia’s most recognised international fashion star. She is a dynamic, inspiring woman and her influence on Australian fashion is remarkable.” – Edwina McCann, Editor-in-Chief, Vogue Australia
As one of Australia’s most successful fashion designers, Dinnigan has exhibited in London and Paris, where she was the first Australian to launch a ‘ready-to-wear’ collection, as well as the first Australian to be asked by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture to show in the prestigious Paris Fashion Week schedule.
The exhibition will showcase all things Dinnigan, including a selection of ensembles and accessories from her personal archive. Opening September 5, this showcase isn’t something you’ll want to miss out on.
MAAS and QT Sydney have joined together to offer a fantastic Collette Dinnigan: Unlaced package.
