Carriageworks Christmas Markets

Ho-Ho-Holy heck and a bottle of rum, Christmas is a tough few months. As soon as October is half-way done, someone will say “Oh how crazy, Christmas is only 9 Sunday’s away”, and if you’re like me you’ll have a mini breakdown in the engine brain room as you try to comprehend everything that needs to be done. AND THEN, you forget to do it because hey summer is here.

So then it comes to half way through December and you know what?

There is one Sunday left until Christmas and you find yourself walking through shopping centres and boutique stores getting accosted left right and centre and you have absolutely zero ideas what to buy your friends, also you have to buy for the family, your significant other (that may mean yourself, you deserve a treat), and your pets, of course.

The days are ticking by fast, but if you don’t want to be inauthentic and buy everyone candles and ceramic owls, I have the perfect last-minute solution: Carriageworks Christmas Markets on December 23 from 4-9pm.

Literally, two days out from the big dude’s birthday. Don’t get me wrong, I love candles and ceramic owls as much as the next person, but if you’re right into beautiful wares and incredible food, hit up these markets – they’re on for such a short while, but it’s all about the quality of the stallholders.

The markets are absolutely free to enter, so go for your life; skate on through and load up the pack-horse with fresh produce that will make even the most awkward of family interactions totally bearable.

I’ll give you a little taste of what to expect in terms of stallholders returning this year; in the food and beverage corner we have the likes of 2 Duck Trading Co., ALTO OLIVES, Archie Rose Distilling Co., Baxter & Bird, Farmer George, Mountain Goat, Pocket City Farms and Young Henry’s Brewing Co.

In the gifts corner, we have Worktones, Salt Country, Published Art, Parva Skincare, Hunter Candles, Goose & Dust, Citizen Wolf and Better Read Than Dead

If you’d like to wile away these last few days at work (let’s be honest, no work get done in December) and peruse through the different items that will be available, jump right on in HERE and have a look through the clickable-clicky-links at each stallholder and prepare yourself for the mad dash to the finish line.

I promise you will have an absolute ball taste-testing the best of the best and hand-picking those gorgeous little trinkets.

You will have the loved ones tearing up and mentally preparing themselves to out-do you in the present giving stakes for next year – so you’ll really have something to look forward to next Christmas!

Carriageworks Christmas Markets are on December 23, 4-9pm.
