Winter is here.

Remember when it was 43 degrees and we were sweating from every pore on the body? Those days are gone and depending on your vibe, you’re either stoked or dreaming of warmer days.

Regardless, if you find yourself in the Harbour City this June, you have a damn fine choice of events that will keep you toasty this Winter.

From the arts to the stage, ideas to the lights, here are some top things to do in Sydney this June:

Art.
Every Wednesday the Art Gallery of New South Wales or AGNSW (ag-n-swa?) team will keep the doors open till the late Sydney hour of 10.00pm so you can get your art fix post-work, mid-week. With poetry, art appreciation sessions and tours around the current exhibitions, this is a great way to check out the current showcase that is The National. A stacked exhibition of new contemporary art from Australias best. More deets HERE

Theatre.
The Hayes Theatre Company, one of Sydney’s premiere performance spaces has just started a month long season of the Sydney classic, Only Heaven Knows. A story set in 1940’s Kings Cross where love was free before the Menzies era swept intolerance over the open community. This isn’t the first time the production has been shown and it won’t be the last, the tale is an important piece of Sydney’s history. Don’t miss it, details HERE

Music.
In case you somehow missed the news last month, the boys from the delicious, Mary’s Burgers are about to kick open the doors on a Sydney landmark that has spent the last couple of years wielded shut. Welcome to The Lansdowne; due to open on the June 10 long weekend, the venue is going to be all about live music, food and we presume a wine list that will be worth a second look. Check out their full story HERE

See.
Want to blow open your mind this winter? Like really stretch it wide and far to change an old bias point you had? Cool. Because TedxSydney will be taking over the newly opened ICC this June with a huge lineup of speakers, ready to share their ideas. From Mike Cannon-Brookes from Atlassian to award-winning, singer-songwriter Gawurra, a diverse, though important lineup of thinkers; register your interest HERE

Do.
Well, it’s June. So that means that the biggest light festival is still on and is something you don’t want to miss out on. It’s rather f cking cool. Head down to Circular Quay around sunset and be wowed. Though get there before June 17, as the lights will be turned off and Sydney will once again be in a post-Vivid Sydney world. More deets HERE
