Yamagen x The House of Suntory – A Taste of Time

At Yamagen, the art of Japanese cooking, whisky making and calligraphy share a philosophy of consistency, precision and deep respect for craftsmanship.

For one evening only, Head Chef Yosuke Hatanaka brings these traditions together through an exclusive dining experience, pairing a specially curated menu with five exceptional House of Suntory whiskies. An invitation for whisky devotees and curious diners alike to discover the artistry behind every pour and every plate.

The evening begins with a Toki Black Highball, before National House of Suntory Ambassador Natalie and VIC & TAS Brand Ambassador Kevin Griffin guide guests through the whiskies and stories behind them.

On the menu, Hokkaido scallop sashimi paired with Yamazaki Distiller’s Reserve, followed by miso glazed Glacier 51 toothfish with Yamazaki 12. Wagyu tenderloin with foie gras butter accompanies Hakushu 18, while shio koji chicken thigh is paired with the remarkable Yamazaki 18 Mizunara. Dessert and Hibiki Japanese Harmony bring the evening to a close.

Adding another layer of Japanese artistry, ink and calligraphy artist Junko will create a personalised calligraphy piece for guests to take home.
