Just like that, we’re entering a new decade. If that’s not inspiration to set a make-it-don’t-break-it New Year’s resolution, we don’t know what is.
At QT, we’re big believers in balance. (Salad with a side of fries, anyone?). So we’ve rounded up some ways to enjoy all the luxuries at QT Wellington, evened out with some healthy practices in line with all your good intentions.
Unplug.
Experience Power Down, our very first digital detox package. Put yourself on flight mode IRL by handing over your phone. We know that going screen free can be a challenge so in return we’ll pamper you with everything you need to reconnect with your real self. Soak in our signature deep dish tub with a giant tea bag for the bath, nourish yourself with a healthy wellness bowl (or wine and cheese, up to you!), and get your move on with the in-room Lululemon yoga mat. Look for the Power Down package when you book your stay.
Get physical.
QT is perfectly perched on the waterfront to dominate your daily step challenge. Cross Cable Street and you’re ready for a stroll or sprint along the Bays. For or a mindful sweat session, check out the timetable at Hot Yoga Wellington’s studio on Wakefield Street. Or, for exercise that is a little more extreme, book into an indoor rock-climbing session at Fergs Kayaks on Queens Wharf.
Snack well.
In need of some nutrients? We’ve got you covered with a new in-room dining menu centred around wellness. Choose from three nourishing options – the Sea and Omega Bowl, Essential Clean Tummy Bowl or Ferment and Nourish Bowl – all equally delicious. You can also pop across the street to Commonsense Organics for everything from produce to fair trade chocolate.
Connect with friends.
Wellington has no shortage of venues perfect for socialising. Finally reschedule that nearly-forgotten coffee date amongst our art collection at Lobby Lounge, or treat mum at famous Wellington gem like People’s Coffee or Customs by Coffee Supreme.
Treat yourself.
When you’ve been playing by the rules and sticking to your New Year’s resolutions, you always deserve a reward. When you hit an important milestone to your end-goal, make sure to celebrate the win. May we be so bold as to recommend a decadent High Tea at Hippopotamus? You earned it!
