WRAP IT UP

By Benjamen Judd

Yeah, its warmer and scarves aren’t really all that needed right now but we don’t care. Bay and Fyfe have a new collection out and it’s worth hoping that some delayed winter winds will sweep the city. That way, we won’t look weird wearing scarves in 30-degree heat.

Owned and operated at Frith Hucks’ Elizabeth Bay pad, Bay and Fyfe is a collaborative concept that brings artists from around Australia in to make designs and concepts that Frith then turns into amazing little numbers made from either fine wool or silk. There is also a series of limited run homewares, using the same designs found on the scarves.

Frith’s most recent collaboration is with Sydney party scene king, former front-man for Sneaky Sound System turned artist Daimon Downey.

Downey’s collection is bright. Duh, that’s why we like it. Using ultra-soft and super-fine wool, Frith and Downey have created some beautiful dual-toned pieces. The collection is a 200-number run so snatching one up early is recommended before they’re all gone!

For more information, and to buy online, head to the Bay and Fyfe website.
