We’ve all worked in an office where someone, generally an intern or a junior, against all common decency and humanity would fill not only their cubicle but the entire floor with the pungent aroma of their perfume. And it was always, always, something that had the words Angel, Baby, Doll or Candy in the title. And it would always make everyone around them sneeze and gag but no one was polite enough to say something. Not until now.
The Standard Store on Crown Street in Darlinghurst has answered some of our internal prayers and stocked up on three of the most delectable and perfectly created colognes we have found in a long time. Created by Danish fashion designer, Henrik Vibskov, the perfumes are three distinct notes for both men and women. They were designed to capture the essence of three cities (Berlin, Copenhagen and Damasus) each perfume is like smelling bottled memories.
Type B, which has so far been considered the most masculine of the collection, is a woody and spicy flavour with notes of black pepper, cedar and vetiver.
Type C is a more citrus based celebration, made up of the essences of orange, mandarin and tangerine with hints of sea water.
Type D is an Oriental Vanilla based fragrance, and the most sensual of the three. Made of jasmine, African orange flower and cinnamon that all sit on a rich base of sandalwood and tonka bean…this one might be our favourite.
So, now that there are no more excuses for someone to stink out the office the only real issue is deciding who gets to choose which one as their own?
You can grab your Type by Henrik Vibskov at the Standard Store, located at 503 Crown Street, Darlinghurst.
