The term ‘voice of an angel’ always makes us a little curious because most angels are depicted in art are fat babies and the only thing babies do are cry and make doody in their own pants. But when we heard that Australian singer and all-round good woman, Sarah Blasko, was going to be performing at St Stephens Uniting Church next Wednesday, January 15, we decided it was time to reconsider our stance on the phrase.
This performance is hot on the tails of her I Awake tour that finished late last year and is the first step of the Heavenly Sounds tour – a concept that Blasko herself started back with her supergroup, Seeker Lover Keeper. From Sydney, the tour will then head to Brisbane (St John’s Cathedral) and Melbourne (St Michael’s Uniting Church), before winding up in Adelaide (Flinders St Baptist Church) on January 24.
Not only is this one of the best venues to experience such a soulful voice but this will be the last opportunity for Blasko fans to see Sarah sing songs live from her latest ARIA winning album so get your tickets as fast as you can. You can get yours here.
