THE NIDA FOUNDATION TRUST GALA 2013 – SATURDAY, 20 JULY

In its seventh consecutive year, the highly anticipated NIDA Foundation Trust Gala will take place this Saturday 20 July at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, in Kensington.

The glittering annual event has developed a reputation as one of Sydney’s most entertaining in the social calendar, and the evening will unite members of the arts and business communities, together with leading identities from theatre, film and television, many of whom are NIDA alumni. In attendance will be NIDA graduates including Miranda Otto, Sheridan Harbridge, Sarah Snook, Harry Greenwood, Josh Lawson, Nathaniel Dean, Ella Scott-­‐Lynch, Heather Mitchell, Ryan Corr and Hugh Sheridan.

Conceived and executed at every level by NIDA students and graduates, the Gala showcases the extraordinary talent that is nurtured and developed at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art. Fundraising on the evening goes directly to the NIDA Student Bursary program and creative projects that enhance the students’ education.

NIDA’s Atrium and Nancy Fairfax theatre foyer will be transformed into a spectacular event space, providing a fitting cabaret style backdrop for the evening. The dinner will feature a delectable menu designed by Matt Moran of ARIA restaurant, and entertainment will be provided by NIDA’s Artist-­‐in-­‐Residence, Philip Quast, who will perform an exclusive after dinner cabaret show with NIDA’s talented Music Theatre students. Philip is a NIDA graduate, a three-­‐time Laurence Olivier Award winner and a renowned star of international musical theatre.

Fundraising at the event will include a luxury raffle, pledge items and a digital auction.
