spaQJewellery can be tricky – too much, too little, too odd, too common. But Lucy Folk seems to have mastered the knack of getting it just right.
After studying at RMIT, Lucy shipped herself off to Berlin and interned with German electro group, Chicks on Speed. Upon her returned to Australia she began to design what she has now become infamous for – her ‘wearable food’. Literally, Lucy makes food wearable.
A self-confessed food lover, Lucy uses electroplating to finely coat real food in metals to turn into unforgettable jewellery pieces. Some foods of choice include popcorn, lobster legs and now pasta and pretzels. It’s like being in craft class all over again but better!
Each piece is individually handcrafted so there is no fear that you’re going to head out and see thirty other people in the same design and each comes with a limited edition number. Nice touch.
For more information, Lucy’s website is here.
Lucy’s yummy wearables can also be found online here or at the Incu store in Paddington, NSW.
